Wolf Pens is proud to offer for sale this “Steampunk” inspired Magnifying Glass.
Each item in the Wolf Pens Steampunk Collection is painstakingly crafted using brass, copper, and stainless steel and is fully silver soldered. Many we will only produce one of. After careful cleaning and then ageing each pen is treated with 3 coats of Renaissance Wax, the finest polish available and used by many of the worlds leading galleries and conservators.
These items are a living thing, they are hand crafted and there by bare all the hallmarks of this. It is Wolf Pens intention that with use and time each one will take on the patina of age further enhancing it’s unique appearance. Should you wish to keep the look as the item is supplied then a regular application of a good metal wax will help maintain the finish. We recommend and use Renaissance Microcrystalline Wax Polish.
This is a truly unique Magnifying Glass. It is a 2.5 inch lens and is around 11.5 inches long, made from brass and copper. It features 4 small glass tubes that have various springs and fittings to detail the insides. It also features a pressure gauge (non functional) for that authentic look. 4 slots on the upper copper section enable you to see the steel hose detailing. The glass also features 3 acrylic details, 2 on the sides of the handle and one on the glass bezel itself.
