Unique steampunk necklace with a radio vacuum tube, or valve as we call it in England.
The ends of the valve have been soldered to antique bronze plated wire which I have wrapped around the tube and twisted at the end and added a little cog and octopus charm.
The chain is 22 inches/56cm long and fastens with an antique bronze lobster clasp and the valve measures approximately 2 inches/50mm.
The necklace comes with its own wooden box which I have distress inked and stamped with a cog design in archival black ink. The box is 60x60mm.
The wire wrapping is not perfectly tidy but is meant to be a little "mad scientist" random twizzles!
All my vacuum valve necklaces are made with actual valves (tubes), not replicas. As such they are made from glass and are as delicate as any glass pendant would be. Therefore it is not recommended to wear during any activity where it might get damaged, such as playing football or battling sky pirates. Also, the wire is intentionally slightly loosely (though securely) wrapped so as not to put pressure on the glass.
