This Steampunk pistol is handcrafted using clock parts with other found items and handmade details. The grip is carved with custom cut brass decorations. The stand, which is included, is made specifically for this gun out of soldered brass wire on a wooden base with an etched brass plate saying "désintégrateur en laiton" (brass disintegrator). Intended for display this pistol is still durable enough to handle.

I have been illustrating and sculpting for the last 35 years and in the last 6 years have found a passion for the steampunk aesthetic. Some of the items I have made are on a larger scale and are used in convention settings. These smaller handheld items feel much more intimate and personal. Working with wood and metal is very tactile and satisfies that creative urge. I also like the re-purposing of found items. For example: One of the clocks I had included a music box type mechanism and this became the barrel of the pistol.
