I designed this stunning Victorian bustle dress to enhance the pleasingly plump plus size figures. Dress is ideal for most any Victorian events, Steampunk events, Gothic events, Mardi Gras, Venice, Carnival,themed weddings,balls. The dress fabric is 2 toned shot taffeta … midnite blue shot with black.. I also offer this dress in the black shot with burgundy. The cut of the dress adds a slimming effect.The fabric makes that very feminine rustling sound.Dress is heavily lined, and is great on stage and off stage. I can custom make this dress to fit your size within 3 to 4 weeks. Dress details are below.
BODICE DETAILS: The bodice is cut on princess lines. Bodice opens and closes with industrial hook and bar closures. Glass buttons are attached into the verticle ruffled passementerie for decoration and show only. Ruffled passementerie in bust area forms a diamond shaped design. Passementeie is made from same fabric as dress. A Victoria high neck collar and coat sleeves add the final touch of Victorian era glamour. The entire bodice …sleeves included.. has been flat lined in 100 percent dark navy cotton…AND…all of the bodice is inner lined in a soft black silky lining taffeta. The 100 percent cotton flat lining adds body and richness to the fabric. The black inner lining is for comfort. Bodice has a bustled back.
SKIRT DETAILS: The matching bustle skirt has beautiful Victorian pouffs at the back. The pouffs are formed by ties on the underside of the skirt. The skirt has the A shaping… formed by A shaped panels. A lovely train flows off the back under the pouffs. Skirt has a true waistband. The underside of the skirt has been flat lined with the dark navy 100 percent cotton. A black silk taffeta bustle petticoat has been made separately from the skirt, and is part of the ensemble. The petticoat follows the same pattern and shaping as the skirt. The skirt opens and closes at the side with industrial hook and bar closures. Skirt has a deep pocket on the right side that is hidden between the right side seams.
The measurements of the sample dress shown in the pictures follows:
1. 46-48 bust ( looks smaller because dress has a slenderizing effect)
2. 39-40 waist
3. 24 inche long sleeves
4. skirt 41 inches in front center
5. skirt back is 54 inches
Dress will be custom made to fit your size from a 34 bust up to a 52 inch bust.
