long-winded short story,
Sweet,

I liked the characters, and enjoyed reading about their interaction with the people in their world, but I thought the back stories of a couple of the characters could have been better developed; for example, it’s apparent that Cole is relatively well-off, but it’s never made clear his job or position in society.
