DESCRIPTION:

Here is simply one of the most beautiful and unique pairs of Steampunk goggles we have ever seen. This pair was created from a ressurected pair of vintage driving goggles. This utterly unique pair of goggles has two-tone lenses in dark green glass and clear glass. The concept, as you can imagine, was to have tinted glass on the upper portion of the goggles for blocking out the sun's strong rays, but still allowing normal viewing straight ahead or down at the road. Fortunate for us, this design proved not only sensible, but also happens to make one of the coolest looking pair of Steampunk goggles the world has ever seen.

These goggles have perfectly round lenses for an exquisitely vintage appearance. They also have gorgeous leather side shields and leather covering the bridge for beyond stunning good looks. I've added removable double magnifier loops for an over-the-top Steampunk look. Some people choose to attach the magnifying loupes permanently, but we'll leave this up to you. If you are looking for a pair of goggles that rockets you to the front of Steampunk fashion, then look no further. These are beyond cool and absolutely unique. Please keep in mind that these two tone goggles are extremely rare. In the many years and hundreds of goggles we have sold, this is the ONLY pair we have ever seen with this unique combination of green and clear glass. CONDITION:

LENSES:
Well, if you are going to get lucky and find one of the most rare pair of goggles the world has ever seen, what are the odds that they will also be in decent condition? Whatever the odds, we have beaten them in spades. The glasses are in spectacular condition. Looking through a magnifier I to the following conclusion: that aside from some random and extremely faint surface scuffs here and there, this glass looks brand new. These lenses are gorgeous – smooth and dreamy with no scratches, pitting, discoloration, staining, what have you. There is nothing to talk about, with is nothing short of a miracle for goggles that date back 80 – 100 years. If you have been holding out for the most incredible Steampunk goggles you could find, you don't have to hesitate as these definitely fit the bill. This is another of those once in a lifetime opportunities.

FRAMES:
The frames are also remarkably stunning. I am not going to say that there aren't some surface scuffs present on the frames – there surely are. But these frames are amazingly free of any kind of significant issues. There is no pitting, corrosion, rust, dullness, structural damage – nothing. The silver gleams bright and beautiful. They are constructed as solid as a rock and will easily last another 100 years in the right hands. This is an accessory that will give you infinite pleasure every time you touch them, every time you put them on and feel the quality, the antiquity and their understated beauty. They may just ruin you for all modern products as everything else pales in comparison when you can truly appreciate quality craftsmanship…

SIDE SHIELDS:
The leather on these goggles is eye-poppingly gorgeous. They are a medium, reddish brown that goes so perfectly with the green tinted lenses. Oh, and as an added bonus, the leather is in near mint condition. The leather still retains it original sheen and is both strong and flexible. There are no rips or cracks or missing chunks, it's all there and it's all beautiful. There are the typical creases from where the goggles were folded in the closed position, and there are a few small white dots on the left side shield, but that's about it for flaws. The leather covering the nose bridge is also nearly perfect. There is one little fine white line on the leather over the nose bridge, but again – no rips, cracks, dryness, discoloration. It's all good. Of course, the leather of the bridge can be removed via a small snap and you can wear the goggles without the leather on the bridge one day, and with the leather the next, it's up to you.

EARPIECES – ARMS:
The earpieces are all but perfect – straight and strong with no issues to mention.

MEASUREMENTS:
The goggles measure approximately 135mm wide from hinge to hinge and the lenses measure approximately 53mm high, including the frames – please consider the dimensions when selecting any pair of goggles, and if you have a question please don't hesitate to ask.

* Please remember, these goggles feature professional frames and the lenses can be removed and replaced with custom prescription lenses or lenses with a different tint by any reputable optician.

Although it has already been mentioned, it pays to reiterate that these goggles go far beyond unique are rare. You cannot buy these for money – they just simply aren't available anywhere. Add to that the fact that these are in PHENOMENAL condition, and you have an opportunity that is unlikely to ever come around again. Take advantage of these and treat yourself to a genuine one-of-a-kind. You'll be so glad you did. They will immediately set you apart from anyone, anywhere absolutely no one but NO ONE will have goggles like these. These are an absolute MUST HAVE to complete any Steampunk ensemble!
